Lutheran Community at Telford’s annual premier fundraising event, Emerald Evening, took place this past Friday the 13th! This year’s “Freaky Friday Fête” was ℎ𝑎𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑙𝑦 good for Benevolent Care as the community’s Fund receives all proceeds.
Welcomed residents, friends, family, staff, board members and sponsors totaling 160 guests enjoyed a casino night at PineCrest Country Club. Along with table games and delegated dealers, the event included a buffet dinner, silent auction, raffle and a great deal of “spooky” fun!
Guests received game chips or a voucher upon arrival to try their hand at blackjack, roulette and other games. Lucky winners would build their stacks of chips while others had the option to purchase additional ones. Before the end of the night, attendees would cash their chips in for raffle tickets. Meanwhile, the silent auction was attracting competitive bidders. There were 13 baskets contributed by the various departments of Lutheran Community at Telford (LCT), with the martini-themed basket contributed by LCT’s very own Executive Director, Ellen Shrager, receiving the most bids!
Benevolent Care Funds help our Continuing Care Retirement Communities ensure residents can continue living in stability and cover expenses should they outlive their financial resources through no fault of their own. Since 2007, Emerald Evening alone has raised over $1 million for the Benevolent Care Fund.
Thank you to all of our attendees as well as our generous sponsors who made this year’s event possible!
