Join us for the Gallery at Rockhill exhibit opening for Bucks County artist Jennifer Spear!
Exhibit opening is Saturday, November 9 from 2 to 3pm, and the exhibit runs through January 20, 2020.
Born and raised in Perkasie, Jennifer Spear began painting at a very young age with her mother at the Baum School of Art. She entered the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts as a painting major and in 1969, studied abroad for a year a the Tyler School of Art’s campus in Rome.
Jennifer has taught at several schools and art centers, including the Craven County Community College and the Children’s Art Center in Doylestown, as well as from her teaching studio in Sellersville.
Now retired, she works out of her home studio and will forever be inspired by the beauty of Bucks County.
The Community at Rockhill nestled in the suburbs of Pennsylvania is home to the Gallery at Rockhill. This gallery highlights local artists and serves as a strong tie between the residents at the CCRC and the community members. Many residents have strong life ties in the community and fostering that connection is essential for aging gracefully.
The Gallery at Rockhill, our onsite art gallery, features five to six rotating shows per year that highlight local artists. Installations span a variety of mediums, from painting and photography to quilts and sculpture. All shows are open to the public and kick off with a weekend opening reception. The space is wheelchair-accessible. The Gallery is open 9am to 5pm daily.
